Medici Chapels in Florence
Medici Chapels
Piazza di Madonna degli Aldobrandini
This very beautiful complex contains not just the Medici chapel but also a mausoleum begun in 1605 and the New Sacristy, designed by Michelangelo. The chapels are not so much a museum as they are an homage to the talent and ingenuity of the architecture and sculpture of the 15th and 16th centuries.

Opening Hours: Daily, 8:15- 4:30; Closed 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month; Closed 1st and 3rd Monday of each month; Also closed January 1, May 1 and December 25
Costs: Entrance fee to be paid in cash when picking up the reserved tickets
